Sherrill House places 3rd in Mayor Walsh's 2016 Garden Contest!

Fall 2016


Launched as part of Mayor Walsh's citywide beautification initiative and in its 20th year, the contest recognizes gardeners who have landscaped, planted flowers, trees and shrubs, and, in the process, helped beautify Boston’s neighborhoods. For two days judges from the Garden Contest Hall of Fame, Boston Elderly Affairs Commissioner Emily Shea, Boston Parks and Recreation Department staff, and local open space advocates visited the gardens to determine the winners. With hundreds of applications, Sherrill House was honored with 3rd place in the Storefront, Business or Main Streets division – video highlights here!

Sherrill House launches Endow the Difference campaign

On November 18th, at the EMC Club at Fenway Park, Sherrill House launched its Endow the Difference campaign. Endow the Difference is the first capital fundraising campaign in the 100+ year history of Sherrill House.
