Dear Colleen, Chelsea, Gillie, Sheree and all the caring and loving staff on the first floor:

Thank you so much for your kind words. You were A.'s family in the final months and gave her the love and tender attention she always deserved - there is no way for me to ever express how grateful I am to all of you. You shared a special closeness with A. that I had as her niece...

With love and fondness,

D.T.

Dear Patrick:

I want to thank you for making my stay at Sherrill House so pleasant. From the moment I arrived until the day of my discharge, you and all of your staff went out of the way to ease my recovery. My room was spacious and clean at all times, the nurses were knowledgeable, the staff always available whenever I needed them. You in particular made me feel so "at home" delivering my Boston Globe every morning, welcoming my visitors with such a lovely lunch, and generally making me feel like a VIP.

I want to give a special kudo to my physical therapists Aileen and Jacquie, who were so good at the therapy. I feel as though the exercises strengthened my body and really contributed to my rapid recovery.

Generally, I had such a great experience at Sherrill House that I will recommend it to all of my friends when they are in need of such therapy. Thanks again.

Sincerely,

A.S.

Dear Patrick,

Thank you so very much for your generous hospitality to us when we came to visit our friend A. The lunch was delicious and we enjoyed our private time in the library.

Thank you also for taking such good care of A. She's a very special person...

Fondly,

J.M.

Hi Patrick,

...I was going to write before, but I wanted to make sure I was on an even keel here at home. So far, so good...In the meantime, I do miss the morning Globe, but I am using your slipper socks still. The quality is far superior to any I got at the hospital...

Finally, I think I'm on the 'mend."

Best wishes,

S.

Dear Patrick,

Thank you for your generous and thoughtful care of M. She is now living at home and driving again, thanks to Sherrill House.

It was wonderful for me to return to Sherrill House after all these years and see the many improvements. Best of all your dedication and greeting new patients at the door on arrival. That is I am sure a great comfort for them.

Your welcome to me and a few familiar faces made me feel right at home. ..

Again, many thanks.

Patrick,

I recovered and rehabbed at Sherrill House (in February.) Like a miser hovering over his account books, I tried to write in my Sherrill House notebook the name of each and every person who cared for me. Through the haze and pain of meds this is my list.

You are truly a wonderful team of folks. I am grateful that I was able to experience your caring and benefit from your expertise. Keep up the good work, and thanks Saida, John, Ntouma, Mary Ellen, Dolores, Myrlande, Elizabeth, Violene, Joanne, Wanda, Andrea, Jamie, Margarita, Maral, Claudie, Ivy, Dana, Aimee, Eileen, Jackie, Jeanette, Shellice, Darlene, Marie, Carmen, Yolanda, Carol, Dr. Lane, Christine, Monica, Sylvia, Kegine, Myriam, Julia, Myla, Cathy, Peter and Josh. And anyone I missed…

The entire care team, all three shifts, and you the team captain, cheerleader, and newspaper deliveryman made my recovery a great success.

Again thanks,

B. & E.

Dear Pat:

I am doing okay, not fully recovered, but getting there. I think of Sherrill House often and the great care I got there. You have a wonderful facility with wonderful people working there all with smiles on their faces and willing to help the patients in every way possible…I’m sure Bishop Sherrill would be proud if he could see what bears his name.

Best Regards,

R.

April 6, 2012 Dear Chief,

It has taken me far too long to send thanks to you for the superb care I received again at Sherrill House. From the moment my morning paper appeared (thanks!) to “lights out” everything hummed along so well. I loved all the adventures in the gym including climbing stairs. And special thanks for my book group’s meeting in the fabulous downstairs rooms.

From all the Ps, thank you.

D.P.

Dear Patrick,

Dear Mr. Stapleton,

To you, to your nurses, and therapists, let me express my sincere thanks and admiration for the weeks I have spent in the company of beautiful, dedicated people...I wish I could name each one but I might overlook someone. There is beauty in the faces of your patients. Love in the faces of your workers. To each, to all, I return my love.

January 4, 2012

Dear Patrick,

...From the moment the ambulance personnel brought me into (Sherrill House) ...I felt especially welcomed...I looked forward to your newspaper every day...

The second floor nursing and CNA staff was friendly, knowlegeable and attentive...They were at all times pleasant. I did not feel rushed, and I certainly was never ignored, not even for a moment. Doctor Gray who was assigned as my doctor was thorough and reassuring. She answered my questions and spent time making sure I was as comfortable as possible.

The P.T. and O.T. staff were particularly remarkable. I wasn't in the building 30 minutes when I met Sean Dempsey from O.T...I was able to work with Sean several times...The physical therapist I worked with every day was John Kusel. I am particularly grateful for John's patience and encouragement as well as his extensive knowledge and background...

... I would not hesitate to revisit Sherrill House or to recommend it highly to anyone in need. Thank you for all you do in assuring that what I found was a most positive experience. I am more than appreciative...

Sincerely,

G.D.

To everyone on the first floor,

I suppose there are words enough to thank you, all of you together and each and every one of you separately, for what you have done and what you continue to do for our mother. But I somehow just can't find the right words to express my thanks, and to tell you how much your care and concern mean to my sisters, my brother, my wife and myself.

Your knowledge and professionalism are just amazing, and that you have helped her make a transition to a new life is beyond question. We all realize that sometimes you are in impossible situations, but somehow you always seem to come up with the right answer and the right way of doing things...

Again, from all of us, thank you so much.

Most sincerely and thankfully,

K. & A.P. and family

December 2011

Thank you for the loving care you gave my mother during the last few months of her life. Thank you also for the love and support you gave our family, especially my sister. Blessings to you all.

Sincerely,

November 2011

Dear Mr. Stapleton:

I was blown away when I read your "Welcome Letter." Your words felt welcoming. I found the letter not only informative but supportive.

I could not believe that you were providing us with your: 1) direct phone line, 2) home phone number, 3) cell phone number, 4) Email address and business card. Who does this anymore? Thank you very much!

I've met and spoken with Colleen and Chelsea. They have been very helpful.

So far, the family is feeling very good about the decision to make Sherrill House our mother's new home.

I wish you all the best and thank you for welcoming us.

Sincerely,

F.H.

Dear Patrick:

My siblings and I are pleased to make a contribution in honor of my mother...who, since she has been at Sherrill House has received care that is nothing short of amazing. Every time we go there we are impressed by, and pleased with, the quality of her care, and by the professionalism of your staff. It doesn't matter to whom we speak: from the front desk receptionists (especially Theresa on weekends) to Chelsea, Colleen, Sheree, and their colleagues on the 1st floor, to Lucy Sanders and Dianne Tow, to your incredible business office staff, and to anyone else: everyone at Sherrill House is a caring, thoughtful professional...Thank you (and your staff) for everything you have done, and for the kindness and consideration you have shown my mother and us.

Yours most sincerely,

K.P.
