The Longest Day at Sherrill House was celebrated on June 21, 2019!
The Longest day is an event to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease. Held annually on the summer solstice, the duration of this sunrise-to-sunset event symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers.
We will participate to honor all those with Alzheimer’s and the caregivers. We invite residents, staff, family and friends to participate. The raised funds this year will be used to purchase new music instruments and activity supplies [like a new BINGO set!] and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association of MA./NH.
Sherrill House has the first dedicated unit in the Greater Boston area for those with Alzheimer’s. Established in 1986, Sherrill House had the vision to create what is now the largest and most sophisticated program in the region for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
