What Our Patient's Are Saying About Us
I hope you will convey to everyone at Sherrill House my gratitude for F’s care. I cannot remember an instance when any of my concerns were not addressed and the loving care that all the personnel that were involved in his daily care provided.
It’s clear that Sherrill House is mission-driven and all the staff are part of that motivation. Everyone I interacted with during this difficult period did their best to understand and help me through it. Our whole family noted the quality of care and was comforted. It brought back memories of my parents and the many years they spent at Sherrill House and that people like Pearline are still there doing God’s work.
Thank you Patrick for your part in the last few months…I will always remember your kindness and efforts to help.
Dear Mr. Stapleton,
…I received wonderful care during my short stay at Sherrill House. Your entire staff were professional and offered the best of care. I am grateful to all involved.
We would like to thank you for all the hard work you did to take good care of my mother for so many years. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
I wanted to take a minute to write to you about my stay at Sherrill House…In particular, I would like to single out two people who really went the extra mile, making my stay very pleasant. The first is Jamie, PT extraordinaire, and the second is my nurse, Joseline. They were both very kind and patient, and they worked hard to make a difference. Their attention…made my seven day stay much more memorable. I would highly recommend these two employees to any new patient staying at Sherrill House.
Dear Patrick and all at Sherrill House who made us feel like a king and queen –
We have been blessed back to fabulous health by all of the caretakers within your walls… the care has been outstanding, thorough, well-disciplined and filled with knowledge and with sprinkles of good humor, laughter and encouragement along the way…Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We know that you will keep up the good work for others…
Just a note to thank you and your entire staff for extending themselves on behalf of my recovery and for getting me started on the right track. Your people could not have been nicer. I really appreciate your helping me during a difficult time.
I want to express my gratitude for my stay at your facility recently…I was made extremely comfortable with the help of nurses, Gwynne – social worker, the CNAs, and of course the physical therapists, especially Khatchik and Jamie, and occupational therapist Aileen. Their daily help made it possible for me to get ambulatory and ready for my re-entry into living at home. A special shout out to Fred, my CNA, who through his actions and personal connection had a big impact on my rehab.
Thank you for the professionalism, thoroughness, and culture of care of all your employees.
…I have met some of the nicest people here…Some of the exemplary people who do their jobs well and pleasantly are Kristen, Gemma, Margarita, Carol, Saida, Christine, John, P.T. and Maral, O.T. I met Jamie and Khatchik who introduced themselves and speak to me each day. People I don’t know nod and speak to me. What a friendly atmosphere you have created.
The food here is terrific. It is tasty, hot, and varied…
As to the nice man who delivers my paper, what an original idea for you to meet the patients, know the staff, be aware of what the house looks like, and make yourself accessible…
My room is always cleaned thoroughly, thanks to Doris and Vivian. Everyone is faithful in introducing themselves…
Thank you for taking the time and using your experience and bright ideas to create such a special place for patients to get well…You are a 5-star hotel. Thank you for your hospitality. If I have to return it will be like visiting old friends.
I want to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful care I received at Sherrill House…All of your employees have been top notch, always with great big smiles, anytime day or night. They are all very kind, warm, friendly and professional. My first impression on Saturday was a warm friendly welcome to Sherrill House from the front desk. It was so nice to hear greetings from each employee…
May I thank you again, and praise you for your leadership ability and wish you well…
What can I say? I don’t think I could have been in a better rehab than Sherrill House. I was amazed by the friendliness and care given to each and every patient…Sherrill House will be my number 1 recommendation to anyone needing rehab. You’ve done a remarkable job Patrick, and I wish you continued success in running this very special “House.” Again, thank you.
I want to tell you of my experience while staying at Sherrill House. The people working there were such a great help to me. I want to mention one exceptional aide working while I was there, named Lesly. He was the kindest, most considerate person. He seemed to know exactly what I needed when I needed it – like a huge bag of ice after PT or just changing my bed while I was showering. He set up my shower for me, knowing I could take care of myself, and then went off to do my room. He made sure my glass of water was always full with ice…
My husband and I toured the establishment prior to coming – a great experience which helped us to make our minds up on where to stay. Please thank your office staff for this…
Another reason I wanted to write this letter is to tell you of my WONDERFUL experience in the PT department, headed by James Dame. The equipment and experience of his staff helped me to walk, touch the floor, do all of my exercises, giving me instruction and aids to completely help me to take care of myself when I left. This enabled me to return home within a week. His department is to be commended for his motivation and help…I watched other patients do their therapy there and saw the way the staff worked with each one of them – offering total attention and help. James Dame might be the Director of Rehabilitation, but he also was my personal trainer and rehab person. This operation (a major one) has been one of the best experiences – so far – in my life…
Thank you all for everything you did for me.
Just a short note to express my gratitude to you and your staff for making my stay so pleasant. Each person who was assigned to my room was not only professional but also very caring.
I can’t thank you enough for going above and beyond the call of duty. The staff were wonderful to D. They treated him like a V.I.P. and he loved it…We are all very thankful.
Dear Sherrill House,
I would like to say how nice my stay was here. I would recommend Sherrill House to anyone. Everyone here goes above and beyond.
I wanted to thank you for such an amazing opportunity to become closer to such a diverse and entertaining group of people. I’ve learned so much in the months that I’ve been visiting and created many bonds that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. All the experiences here will help me become a better physician in the future.
Dear Sherrill House Staff,
Thank you so much for the lovely plants and dish garden you sent in memory of our mom…I want you all to know how very much my mom loved you all at Sherrill House. She truly enjoyed her visits…
To Sherrill House,
I am happy to make the enclosed contribution to Sherrill House in gratitude for the care I received there in January this year as I recuperated from knee replacement surgery. I am particularly grateful for the Physical Therapy Dept. particularly Jamie and Catherine as well as all the others who cared for me in outstanding comfortable surroundings.
Dear Jamie and Aileen - and Patrick,
…I am especially writing to rave about the P.T. and O.T. that I received from my good friends, Jamie and Aileen. Both of you were prompt, professional, kept me on task, filled with loving kindness and compassion, and stern with your warnings at the same time. I will always remember you…The very reason I had hoped to go to Sherrill House was because of the reputation for terrific therapy. And that is exactly what I got! I can’t express how happy I am to have met and worked with each of you. Because of you, I was able to come home with confidence. From the bottom of my heart I thank each of you, and wanted Patrick to know as well…the therapy was truly a blessing! I couldn’t have asked for more. Most sincerely,
Dear Mr. Stapleton and Staff,
I want to thank the staff at Sherrill House for collectively bringing me in less than a week to the point wherein I truly developed the confidence to come home after having had quite elaborate surgery… I arrived at Sherrill House feeling overwhelmed, weak, depleted and afraid. I truly was a different person on the day I was discharged. It was such a wise decision. I just KNEW I could not go directly home but wanted to be close to the…hospital… I would particularly thank Jamie, Director of Rehabilitation. He was beyond amazing. I have no words to describe how thankful I am for getting me back on my feet, both physically and emotionally. Other special thanks go Aileen and Arlene in O.T. I was actually with Aileen the most, what a gem you have in her as well as in Jamie. They were filled with loving kindness and compassion, yet were firm in their strategies and the goals I needed to meet…I thank them for all they did, and with such sincerity. I salute and thank them from the bottom of my heart. I hated to say goodbye to them.
There are other names in your nursing and CNA staff I would like to offer special thanks – always professional, always kind and smiling… God bless them! All! The following are the names in the nursing staff that I remember every day. I know there are more that I’ve forgotten. My deepest thanks go out to Joseline, Krista, Sherley and Melanie. On your CNA staff, I sincerely thank Carline, Carol, Janette, and Mercia. I love all mentioned for your loving help post-surgery.
…I shall never forget all of you for getting me through a most difficult time.
I had a three week stay in April…I wanted you to know what an INCREDIBLE staff you have there. I am a Nurse Manager…and I know what to look for to hire excellence. In a heartbeat I would hire any of your staff. They are well-trained, compassionate, caring, competent…there are not enough positive adjectives to describe my impressions…
From the time the ambulance rolled through the doors I was welcomed by your staff. The receptionist looked right at me and said “welcome to Sherrill House” instead of talking to the gentlemen transporting me. Before we got to the elevator two other people did the same. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I reached my room to be greeted by a flower in a vase and a water bottle…and a clean comfortable room. By the time I was settled in bed the admission staff came in, greeted me with a smile and that was the start of what I can only say was a great experience. I was set onto a road of recovery that although it took time gave me my life back!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I write to express my gratitude and respect to your entire staff (both medical and otherwise) for providing me with such excellent care and support during my recuperation. My recovery has been greatly assisted by their encouragement and professionalism. With sincere best wishes for the New Year and my thanks,
