Volunteer Program

Sherrill House volunteers are an important part of our community life, and contribute in many ways to the well-being of our residents, patients, families and staff.

And each volunteer, in his or her unique way, benefits from the warmth, friendship and appreciation they receive in return. The Director of Volunteer Services orients and trains each volunteer, and matches volunteers with rewarding opportunities that are meaningful to them and to our residents and patients.

Volunteer opportunities vary, and may include:

  • One-on-one visiting with residents and patients
  • Visiting with certified therapy pets
  • Leading or assisting with recreation activities
  • Assisting with pastoral care programming
  • Special event support
  • Clerical support

Families, groups, teens and certified therapy pets are welcome!
